Lucy, Sold to Caroline from South Carolina

This is what Caroline had to say about Lucy, "Hello! I know it's been a while since I sent you pictures, but since it's Lucy's birthday and all I thought I'd take a few (and some videos, stay tuned)! I cannot thank you enough for bringing Lucy into my life. She is the light of my life and I couldn't be more in love with her. She is as sweet and loving as she ever was with all of the intelligence and grace attributed to her breed. She is a joy and I am so thankful to you for helping me choose her. I've visited your website since I brought Lucy home and I look forward to being able to get another poodle from you one day in the future. You know my husband and I both love Lucy and my parents got a chance to meet her over Christmas. They affectionately call her a woolly horse. They have two small dogs (a dachshund and a dachshund mix) and aren't used to a large dog in the house. Everywhere I take her and everyone that meets her is charmed by her sweet personality. She recently got to meet and play with a friend of mine's child (a 3 year old) and they were great together. The little boy would roar at Lucy and she would get into the "play" pose and bark back at him. They had us rolling in the floor. Every time he'd get down off of the couch, she would herd him towards one of the adults. It was so funny watching her play with a human as tall as she is! As you'll see in the video I'm sending, Lucy has learned quite a few tricks. She can catch a ball thrown her way, will go and get her ball so you can fetch it when told, she's slowly learning to swim and is much improved on the leash. We go to the dog park regularly and she plays very well with all the other dogs. The only issue we have is other dogs seem to really like to mouth her ears, but lately she just outruns them. She's still a lightweight (only 50 lbs, even though we've upped her food), but the vet says she should keep growing until she's 18-24 months old. She continues to be very healthy (not so much as a sniffle) and happy. We did have to stop getting her duck toys... she would tear them open to scatter and eat the stuffing. The last duck lasted all of 30 minutes... oh well. She got to see a real duck about a month ago at the lake and fell off the pier after it. Once we fished her out, she was considerably less interested in the ducks. She does love the water, but doesn't like to actually swim. She'll fetch toys that are within her reach and proceeds to bark at them when they aren't until the waves bring them back to her. She is the least aggressive dog I've ever seen. She's not possessive over food or any of her toys. I've never seen her get aggressive. In short, she is WONDERFUL and I can't thank you enough for her. All our love, Caroline, Matt and Lucy"
